Οι φωτογραφίες που δημοσιεύτηκαν στον προσωπικό λογαριασμό του κ. Fritz Berger στο fb είναι όπως ο ίδιος γράφει από το θερισμό του σιταριού στο Κομηλιό και τα Χορτάτα το 1963 και το 1971 αντίστοιχα.

Γράφει ο κ. Fritz Berger:
«Wheat harvest on Lefkada Greece.
A woman in dark brown robe work in contrast with the golden cornfield. With a sickle in the right hand she cut a bunch of the ripped wheat holding together in her left hand. Then she swings it high in the air to place it carefully on the dry stubble behind her. This rhythmical works filled the quit morning with the mysterious sound. It was the sound of harvest which filled the hills every year in early May. The air was hot and the strong aroma of the ripped wheat gave the day a feeling of happiness and thanks. The mother hoped to get sufficient yield to feed her family in the coming year. The woman rested from time to time to wipe off the sweat, drink a glass of water and to look for her baby sleeping in a basket under the almond tree.
